Thomson-Reuters has been synonymous with FX.

You think FX markets, you think Reuters. Bloomberg is a great all-rounder terminals, but for FX, Reuters certainly has its finger on the pulse better than anyone else.

Tangentially, Reuters can be thought of the the word "Xerox" or "Kleenex" when we refer to photocopying or tissue.

The advantage that Reuters enjoyed is hardly there any more. Bloomberg now offers everything under the sun that Reuters provides on its Eikon platform, for FX.
