How does American Express FX International Payments compare to services like Xoom?

Xoom is slightly more expensive than American Express. Amex's international exchange rates would be better than Xoom, but it also depends if the amount is converted at the remitter's end or beneficiary end. Both companies will earn on exchange rate parity at the remitters end.
