Ask Mint Update: Introducing Badges and Enhanced Profiles

Ask Mint now has badges that reward taking part, and revamped profiles with your own URL, social links, a bio and a tagline.

Here’s another update for everyone interested in Ask Mint. We’re excited to announce the introduction of badges, a new gamification feature designed to make your experience more engaging. You can learn more about badges by visiting the footer of the website. The idea is simple: the more you interact and contribute, the more you’ll be rewarded.

Enhanced Profile Features

If you click on my profile (i.e. Faisal Khan) you’ll find a revamped profile setup. You can now:

  • Define your unique URL
  • Add social links
  • Write a short bio
  • Create a tagline
  • Use a dedicated space to share more about yourself

Depending on how things develop, these social links will likely be “dofollow”, and you’ll be able to add up to five or six links. This setup allows you to showcase your associations and social presence, and to describe yourself authentically. The goal is for you to answer questions as yourself, not just as a representative of your company—though you’re welcome to promote your business within your profile.

Company Accounts: What’s Next?

We’ve received questions about company accounts. At this stage, Ask Mint is focused on individual accounts. Company accounts may be considered in the future, but if introduced, they will likely be a paid feature rather than an open service.

Looking Ahead

We’re steadily adding new features as we move toward our official launch next year. Ask Mint is still in beta, so stay tuned for more updates. Thank you for your interest and for following along with our progress!
